MERGING EXPOSURES WITH AUTO BLEND

MERGING EXPOSURES WITH AUTO BLEND

STEP : 1

To perform this technique you will need a series of two or more photographic images of the same subject with different exposures, like the canned goods and condiments shown in Figure 37-1.

STEP : 2

Begin by selecting Scripts > Load Images Into Stack. When the Load Layers dialog box opens, click the Browse button to navigate to and select your image files, click the Attempt to Automatically Align Source Images check box, and then click OK to load all the images onto separate layers within a new document, as illustrated in Figure 37-2.

HINT: To select a series of images that are already open in the Photoshop workspace, click the Add Open Files button instead

STEP : 3

Next you’ll perform the exposure merge. First press Alt+Ctrl+A/Option+Ô+A to select all the layers in the Layers panel. Then select Edit > Auto-Blend Layers, choose the Stack Images option, make sure the Seamless Tones and Colors check box is selected, and click OK. Photoshop will then blend the selected layers based on their content to produce a single composited image made from the best parts of each layer. Figure 37-3 shows the final blended exposure.
